A day at Bostwick Creek MX Trail

Father and Son Ride the Bostwick Creek MX Trails (2011)

"Ray" is the trail designer
Thought I would share some pics of me and my dad spending a day on the Bostwick Creek MX Trails. My dad, Ray, built these trails as an addition to the Bostwick Creek MX Park. This was my first trip to the trail to check out what my dad has been building. I knew I was in for a treat, as my father has built several MX tracks while I was growing up. Dad was and is an avid motorcycle enthusiast. I recall growing up spending Sundays watching him race MX as a highly competitive racer even wining the Mid South Motocross Championship one year. I remember him racing Flat Track as well. He even announced races at the Mid-South Fairgrounds in Memphis, TN., packing the house with flat-track racing fans. But I stray from the purpose of this article...
Gator by the tail
The trail has been virtually hand-cleared with a machete and a hand saw out of the Florida thicket. All sorts of wildlife inhabit the area and a mutual respect between riders and wildlife coexist out on the trail.
The snake pit
The trails are clearly marked with signs, critters, and humorous placement of objects for entertainment value.

Gettin' Wet!
The trails offer an assortment of experiences from sand, water, mud, and trees. Ray has designed trail routes that cater to different experience levels for the enjoyment of all. This is a wonderful opportunity for the whole family to partake in some good family fun on a well designed and maintained trail system.
